Paducah Bank, the American Quilters Society, Paducah School of Art & Design, Paducah Main Street, the Paducah Convention and Visitors Bureau, and the Paducah Civic Beautification Board partner each year to encourage downtown merchants to decorate their windows in preparation for Quilt Week and the annual Dogwood Trail.

Paducah School of Art & Design has a student Art Club and its members go from merchant to merchant to judge the downtown windows. They choose the winning windows. Paducah Bank donates cash awards to the winners while AQS presents award ribbons to each winner and provides AQS QuiltWeek posters for each downtown merchant's window.  Civic Beautification presents a blooming dogwood tree to each winner.  The contest is coordinated by Paducah Main Street.
