Mark your calendars for Saturday, May 19 for the Paducah Police Department Bicycle and Surplus Auction. The auction will be held at the Police Department at 1400 Broadway. Registration for bidders starts at 8 a.m. with the auction beginning at 9 a.m. There is no charge to register. This is a cash only sale, and all sales are final. All items are sold “as-is.”
The Police Department will be selling 85 bicycles and miscellaneous items including televisions, laptops, tablets, computer monitors, portable thermal printers, fishing equipment, a small air compressor, a toolbox, tools, filing cabinets, office furniture, portable heaters, plastic storage cabinets, and much more.
A list of all auction items can be picked up Tuesday, May 15 through Friday, May 18 at the Police Department during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. A list also will be available the day of the auction. Items cannot be viewed until the morning of the auction beginning at 8 a.m. Only those who have registered will be able to view the items.
The auction was last held in May 2016. It raised $3563 with the majority of the proceeds going toward the Police and Fire Pension Fund.
