COVID-19 Updates for Paducah City Hall - May 17, 2021

Date of Release:

Date of release:  May 17, 2021

Based upon the updated guidance from the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention and the State of Kentucky regarding the wearing of facial coverings, the City of Paducah is updating how the public can access City Hall located at 300 South 5th Street.

The following changes are effective immediately:

  • Facial coverings are no longer required to enter City Hall.  However, based upon the guidance, we encourage those who are not fully vaccinated to wear a mask.  Disposable masks are available in the foyer.
  • Social distancing within the building is no longer required.  Seating availability in the City Commission Chambers is no longer restricted.  However, due to limited space in the Chambers, the Paducah Board of Commissioners asks that in-person meeting attendees consider being fully vaccinated.
  • All departments in the building are open during business hours.  Prior appointments are no longer needed for the departments that had been operating by appointment only.

City Manager Jim Arndt said, “These changes are a testament to all of the hard work and patience that this community and the nation have put toward limiting the spread of COVID-19.  I’m thrilled that City Hall is able to return to pre-COVID operations.”

For the safety of employees and public, customers who have a fever or are experiencing COVID-19 related symptoms are requested to avoid visiting City Hall.

As a reminder, the drop-box located next to the 5th Street door of City Hall is available to drop off payments and correspondence.  The general information phone number for City government is 270-444-8800.
