Fraudulent Use of Food Stamp Card

Suspects: Chester L. Brady, 65, of Walter Jetton Boulevard, arrested on a charge of fraudulent use of an ID card or electronic code for benefits (EBT food stamp card)
Alonza D. Mason, 43, of Ashbrook Avenue, arrested on a charge of fraudulent use of an ID card or electronic code for benefits (EBT food stamp card)

Two McCracken County men have been arrested in connection with fraudulent use of an EBT card after detectives learned of the scheme during a separate investigation.

Det. Nathan Jaimet was investigating another matter when he learned that Chester L. Brady has been selling his EBT (food stamp) card to Alonza D. Mason each month. Selling a benefits card, or fraudulently possessing a benefits card, is a felony.

Both men were booked into McCracken County Regional Jail.
