Motel Disturbance Leads to Drug Arrest

Suspect: Anthony B. Hogue, 18, of Meacham Lane, arrested on charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia, carrying a concealed weapon and first-degree possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified)

A disturbance at a local motel early today led to the arrest of a teen-ager on drug and weapons charges.

Police were called about 3 a.m. today to a disturbance at a room at the Drury Inn. Officers found Anthony B. Hogue walking around the second floor. He was identified as one of the parties involved in the disturbance.

Hogue consented to a search of his person, and officers found a glass pipe commonly used to smoke methamphetamine with residue inside and five individual bags containing a substance that tested positive for methamphetamine. Officers also found two hydromorphone tablets (pain pills) in a small container and a set of brass knuckles in the back pocket of Hogue’s jeans. Hogue does not have a concealed weapons carry permit.

Hogue was arrested and booked into McCracken County Regional Jail.
