Need Public's Help Regarding Oak Grove Cemetery Vandalism

The Paducah Police Department is appealing to the public for help in determining who is responsible for vandalism to gravestones at Oak Grove Cemetery on Park Avenue in Paducah.

Officer Rene Long was called on Nov. 8, 2016, after Paducah Parks Department employees found several headstones in the cemetery had been overturned and broken. The employees said the stones are some of the oldest in the cemetery. Some, if not all, of the stones are more than 100 years old.

Long has exhausted all investigative leads and is asking the public for assistance. The stones are located on Faith Avenue in the center of the cemetery.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Paducah Police Department at 270-444-8550 or Crime Stoppers at 270-443-TELL. Tipsters also may access the Online Tip Form. Information leading to an arrest or indictment may result in a reward of up to $1,000.
