This notice is intended to inform residents of Paducah-McCracken County that the City of Paducah Section 8 Housing Program is submitting a Five-year and Annual Administrative Plan (“Plan") as required by the U.S. Housing and Urban Development Section 511 of the Quality Housing and Work Responsibility Act of 1998. The Plan is available for public inspection and generally contains:
The City of Paducah will hold a public hearing before the submission of the Plan on March 21, 2018 at 4 P.M. in the Commission Chambers at City Hall. The purpose of the hearing is to listen and receive public comment on the proposed Plan. Comments on the proposed Plan can be submitted to the Section 8 Administrator at the City of Paducah, P.O. Box 2267, Paducah, KY 42002-2267.

Application and information can be obtained from the Section 8 Office located at 300 S. 5th Street, Room 208 during business hours. All documentation requested on the application must be submitted with the application for placement on the Section 8 waiting list. For more information, contact the Section 8 Office at 270-444-8542.
Section 8 Waiting List - The City of Paducah Section 8 Housing Program is accepting Housing Choice (Rental Assistance) Voucher Applications on Mondays and Tuesdays from 9 until 11 a.m. until further notice. Applications are available for pick up during regular business hours at City Hall, 300 S. 5th Street, Room 208, Paducah KY. All applications must be placed in person by head of household, and all requested documents must be presented at time of application.
The second option is for homeownership. In order to qualify for homeownership through Section 8, you must first be actively participating in the housing choice voucher program.
