Bluegrass Downs to be Site of New Recreational Complex for Soccer, Baseball, and Softball

Date of release:  November 19, 2020

McCracken County Judge Executive Craig Clymer said this is a monumental achievement for Paducah-McCracken County.  Mayor Brandi Harless said this is an example of what can happen when City and County governments lean in and work together.

Today, the McCracken County Fiscal Court, McCracken County Sports Tourism Commission, and the City of Paducah announced that VICI Properties, the owner of Bluegrass Downs, is DONATING more than 50 acres to the County with a lease for approximately 10 more acres.  This incredible location between Stuart Nelson Park, Noble Park, and adjacent to the Greenway Trail and Park Avenue (U.S. 60) will be the new home for a recreational complex for softball, baseball, and soccer.

Judge Clymer said that there is no better spot in the county for this complex.
