PATS announces changes to service in response to COVID-19

Date of Release:
March 23, 2020

Date of release:  March 23, 2020

This is an unprecedented crisis that requires all of us working together to protect our families and our communities.

With a primary concern for the health and safety of PAT’s workforce and the community at large, PATS is asking all customers to limit non-essential travel. PATS will reduce service beginning Tuesday March 24, out of an abundance of caution and to help protect employees and customers.  Fixed Route bus service will shut down effective 7:01 pm on March 23, 2020 for at least the next three weeks.

The passenger waiting areas will be closed starting Tuesday, another effort by PATS to minimize passenger contact and maximize social distancing. Additionally, PATS is limiting rides to one person per vehicle until further notice. All fares within the city limits will be $2.00 per ride.

Customer service phone support will be available between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Please note, call volumes and wait times may be greater than usual.

PATS continue to clean and disinfect buses daily, with extra sanitation efforts on high-touch areas. Passengers are encouraged to practice good hygiene on and off the bus. We are asking customers to avoid travel if they are feeling sick.
