2016 Holiday Open House Set for November 6

The holiday shopping season will kick off Sunday, November 6 with the Holiday Open House.  From noon until 5 p.m., stores and restaurants will be open in downtown Paducah to help you get an early start on the holiday shopping season and put you in a festive mood.

Downtown Development Specialist-Main Street Director Melinda Winchester says, “The Holiday Open House is a tradition in historic downtown Paducah.  There will be specials at restaurants and plenty of great shopping deals to kick off your holiday season.  We are fortunate to have a diverse collection of unique stores with wonderful shop owners and employees who will make sure you find that perfect gift and those must-have items.”

To make the shopping experience even more fun, participate in the Holiday Shopping Spree giveaway.  Pick up the Holiday Open House Guide in a participating newspaper or Download the Holiday Open House Guide.  The card includes 22 downtown businesses and restaurants.  To enter the prize giveaway, make purchases at four or more of the participating businesses and get a stamp from the businesses.  After shopping, either leave the card at one of the participating businesses or send it to Melinda Winchester at mwinchester@paducahky.gov or mail it to Attn: Paducah Main Street, 300 South 5th Street, Paducah, KY 42003.

The cards will be eligible for a random drawing with prizes ranging from gift certificates from Hooper’s Outdoor Center, MAKE Paducah, Simply B Gift Boutique, Wildhair Studios Rock Shop, and Farmer’s Daughter Soap Company, a carriage ride for four, and dinner for two at either Tribeca or JP’s Bar & Grill.
