Paducah Parks Services encourages the community to become members of the Paducah Recreation Center located at 1527 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in the historic Fountain Avenue Neighborhood. Memberships for 2017 cost $20 for either an individual or the entire family (a family consists of parent/guardians and their children).
Recreation Specialist Taylor Morsching says, “A membership at the Paducah Recreation Center is one of the best values in the area. Once you have your membership, you can participate in open gyms, yoga, zumba classes, and much more which will allow you to live an active and healthy lifestyle.”
New members and returning members can purchase the annual membership and get the 2017 identification badge at the Recreation Center Mondays through Thursdays, 2:30–10 p.m., Fridays, 11 a.m.–1 p.m., and Fridays, 2:30–6 p.m. Staff also will be at the Center accepting membership fees on Mondays and Wednesdays, 9:30 a.m-1 p.m., and Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10:15 a.m.–1 p.m.
Memberships can be purchased at any time throughout the upcoming year. They are valid until the end of 2017. There is a $5 charge if you need to replace your ID badge anytime throughout the year.
The Paducah Recreation Center includes a gymnasium, stage, kitchen, conference room, and classroom space. Classes and activities included in the $20 membership include Open Gym, Walking Club, Chair Yoga, Tai Chi, Mat Yoga, Zumba, Mid-East Dance, Dance and Tone, Basketball Open Gym, Volleyball Open Gym, Futsal Open Gym, and more. Sports leagues, special events, and other classes will have registration fees in addition to the $20 membership fee. Monthly schedules are posted at the Paducah Recreation Center and on the Parks Services website. Activities offered and times may change from month to month.
