Date: Friday, August 26, 2016
Location: Joe Clifton Drive and Park Avenue, Paducah
Suspects: Larry D. Hall, 48, of Symsonia, KY, arrested on charges of having no registration plates, driving under the influence, driving with an expired operator’s license, failure to maintain insurance, possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia
Sheila A. Lang, 42, of Metropolis, IL, cited on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia

Two people were charged after Paducah police officers stopped a car on Joe Clifton Drive for having a cancelled registration plate.

Officers Kevin Wilson and Zane White were working a special traffic enforcement detail when a computer check revealed the license plate on a passing vehicle had been cancelled because the owner did not maintain insurance on the vehicle.

The officers stopped the car and found the driver, Larry D. Hall, was intoxicated and unable to complete several field sobriety tests. He was arrested, and a search of his vehicle revealed less than a gram of methamphetamine, four grams of marijuana and a burned marijuana cigarette.

A passenger in the car, Sheila Lane, was found to be in possession of four grams of marijuana and a marijuana grinder and was cited.

Hall was booked into McCracken County Regional Jail.
