Need Public's Help Regarding Second Burglary at Rick's Pharmacy

Time: 3:55 a.m.
Date: Tuesday, January 10, 2017
Location: Rick’s Pharmacy, 3001 Schneidman Road

For the second time in two weeks, Paducah police are investigating a break-in at Rick’s Pharmacy, 3001 Schneidman Road.

Officer Cody Santel responded at about 3:55 a.m. today to an alarm sounding at the pharmacy. When he arrived, he found a door had been pried open. Officers searched the building and found prescription pill bottles strewn in the floor. Officers also found about 15 pill bottles on the ground across the street from the business.

Surveillance video showed two men pry open the door with a crowbar and enter the store with a trash can. They dumped prescription medications into the trash can before fleeing the scene.

Det. Jason Hicks believes these are the same men who broke into the pharmacy in the same manner in the early morning hours of Dec. 27, 2016. One appears to be a black male, wearing a green, hooded jacket, jeans and red tennis shoes. The second appears to be wearing baggy pants and green or black tennis shoes.

Prescription medications were taken in that burglary, as well.
