Paducah Fire Department Responds to Fire at IHOP Restaurant

Date of release:  August 29, 2019 
The Paducah Fire Department received a dispatch call at 4:23 a.m. today to respond to a structure fire at IHOP restaurant located at 2861 James Sanders Boulevard.   
As of the time of this release (approximately 7:50 a.m.), crews had gained controlled of the fire but will remain on the scene for a while to monitor for any hot spots.  The building has sustained major damage.    
Two employees were inside the restaurant at the time of the fire; however, they were able to escape the building unharmed and call 911.   
The Paducah Fire Department says the fire started in the ceiling and roof line of the building.  The cause of the fire is in under investigation.
