Capt. Crowell has been serving as an acting captain since August 2016. He participated in the recent promotional process, which includes written essay and interview board.
Capt. Crowell joined the Paducah Police Department in January 2005 and has spent much of his career in the Support Services Division. He will remain there as captain.
He was promoted to sergeant May 14, 2015. He is one of the department’s Digital Forensic Investigators and a crisis negotiator.
