Two Tennessee residents were arrested after bank officials became suspicious of checks they were attempting to cash.

Paducah police were called at 11:24 a.m. after employees at Community Financial Services Bank, 3390 Park Avenue, noticed a man and a woman both were trying to cash checks valued at $1,985.43. Bank officials contacted the account holder, and learned the checks were forgeries.

Jacqueline F. Rice and John R. Dickerson were arrested on charges of first-degree forgery and first-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument and booked into McCracken County Regional Jail.
