- Compost Facility (1560 North 8th Street) is closed Memorial Day.
- Curbside recycling will be collected Tuesday (May 28) for 2nd and 4th Monday customers.
- Garbage collection schedule does not change Memorial Day week.
Noble Park Pool, Splashpad, and Sprayground
- Noble Park Pool will be open Memorial Day. It opens for season on Saturday, May 25 with expanded hours this year from noon until 7 p.m. Pool is closed on Mondays, except for Memorial Day.
- Beginning Friday, May 24, the Pat & Jim Brockenborough Rotary Health Park Splashpad and Robert Coleman Park Sprayground will be open daily from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. Note: The Health Park Splashpad is activated by pressing the sensors in the concrete.
Vietnam Veterans of America #337 Memorial Day Program
Vietnam Veterans of America #337 is holding a Memorial Day program on Monday at 7 p.m. at Dolly McNutt Memorial Plaza. The program includes patriotic music and comments from U.S. Navy Commander (retired) David Shirk. Commemorative crosses will be in front of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial.
