On Wednesday, June 4, a City of Paducah team along with associated local partners provided a panel discussion on how they work together to assist citizens during code enforcement situations that involve substandard living conditions. The panel provided information to attendees of the Kentucky League of Cities (KLC) Summer Summit held this week in Lexington.
KLC invited the Paducah Fire Prevention Division to provide an overview of how the Division works with elected officials, the City Manager’s office, and partner agencies to address residential code enforcement-related cases that often affect the occupants of a home. They discussed how they respond to situations including a condemned or dilapidated structure, a home that has had significant fire damage, or a home that has been damaged by storms or flooding.
Agencies represented on the panel are as follows:
- City of Paducah.
- Gardner Engineering & Consulting, PLLC.
- KentuckyCare.
- Keuler, Kelly, Hutchins, Blankenship & Sigler, LLP.
- Purchase District Health Department.
