Memorial Day Information for May 26, 2025
City Hall and City Government Offices - Closed Memorial Day.
Public Works Department
- Compost Facility (1560 North 8th Street) is closed Memorial Day.
- Curbside recycling will be collected Tuesday (May 27) for 2nd and 4th Monday customers.
- Garbage collection schedule does not change Memorial Day week.
Noble Park Pool, Splashpad, and Sprayground
- The Noble Park Pool is open on Memorial Day. The pool opens for the season on Saturday, May 24. The pool is open Tuesday through Sunday, noon -7 p.m. The pool is closed on Mondays, except for Memorial Day.
- Beginning Saturday, May 24, the Pat & Jim Brockenborough Rotary Health Park Splashpad and Robert Coleman Park Sprayground will be open daily from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. Note: The Health Park Splashpad is activated by pressing the sensors in the concrete.
