The Paducah Parks & Recreation Department is proud to announce that it has received the Outstanding Parks & Recreation Department Award from United States Tennis Association (USTA) Kentucky. Assistant Director of Parks Taylor Morsching travelled to Louisville on Saturday to accept the honor, which recognizes excellence in tennis programming, facilities, and community engagement.
“This award is a true honor for our department and Paducah’s tennis community,” Morsching said. “Our staff works hard to make sure the Noble Park Tennis Courts are welcoming, well-maintained, and accessible. Partnering with the Paducah Tennis Association allows us to bring classes and fun events for everyone. Recognition from USTA Kentucky reflects the dedication of our team and the strong support from Paducah’s elected officials and city management in promoting active, healthy lifestyles.”
“Tennis is more than a sport—it brings people together and fosters lifelong recreation,” said Director of Paducah Parks & Recreation Amie Clark. “We’re proud to provide tennis programs for all ages at Noble Park. This award reflects the strong partnerships and community support that make our youth and adult clinics, social mixers, USTA league play and special events possible. Our goals are to introduce new players to the sport while supporting experienced athletes.”
According to USTA Kentucky, the Paducah Parks & Recreation Department made the greatest impact in its community during the past year through programming, events, and partnerships. The Department collaborates with the Paducah Tennis Association to host junior clinics in the spring and fall, social mixers, tennis cardio classes, USTA league play, and other special events that engage families and promote the sport. Additionally, Paducah Parks & Recreation maintains a strong partnership with St. Mary High School by hosting team practices and matches.
Noble Park features five full-size courts and two junior courts. For more information about Paducah Parks and Recreation programs and facilities, visit paducahky.gov or follow Paducah Parks & Recreation on Facebook and Instagram.
