Free 2022 Paddling Events Through Tennessee RiverLine

Date of Release:
June 10, 2022

Registration is underway until noon on Friday, June 17 for the first of five FREE paddling events hosted by Tennessee RiverLine: Paducah-McCracken County.

The first event will be Saturday, June 18.  Participants can register for a tandem or single kayak by calling the Paducah Parks & Recreation Department at 270-444-8508 or visiting www.paducahky.gov/registration.  There is a limited supply of kayaks.  Also, those with their own kayaks are invited to participate, but registration is required so that adequate transportation can be provided.

Those reserving a kayak from the Tennessee RiverLine fleet will meet at the foot of Broadway by 9 a.m. on June 18.  Transportation will be available to take the participants to Clarks River Landing to begin the journey.  Participants who are bringing their own kayaks should drop their boats at Clarks River Landing by 8:30 a.m. and then drive to the Foot of Broadway to meet the group.  Tennessee RiverLine representatives will watch the kayaks.

The kayak adventure will take off from Clarks River Landing with paddlers enjoying the Clarks River and Tennessee River and ending at the Foot of Broadway.

Additional free paddling events are scheduled for July 16, August 20, September 17, and October 15.  Registration opens 10 days prior to each event.
